Intro

Let's go on our 2014 Philippines expedition! There are only 16 spaces left for this adventure that will take you from the North to the South of the Philippines.

Starting in Anilao, the centre of the Marco life in the Philippines, this tour will take you on a fantstic adventure with diving sites comparable to Lembeh in Indonesia and will give you the opportunity to discover rare species.

Dive on well preserved lively colourful reefs and on impressive WWII shipwrecks, admire the beautiful architecture of Taal anf Puerto Princesa and discover some breathtaking landscapes in this wonderful country, the Philippines.

Itinerary

Day 1 - 13/04 Leave home, fly to Manila.


Day 2 - 14/04 D Manila / Anilao Arrive in Manila around midday, welcome at the airport and transfer to Anilao(2h30). Check in your beach hotel and relax before meeting your diving team for a first briefing. Night in Anilao.


Day 3 to 4 15/04 to 16/04 B-L-D Anilao Days of diving in Anilao with 3 boat dives per day on the nearby diving sites. 2 dives in the morning, lunch at the resort and 3rd dive in the afternnon. For the non-divers, they can go along on the boat to do some snorkeling or stay by the swimming pool. Nights in Anilao.


Day 5  - 17/04 B-D Anilao / Taal / Manila / Puerto Princesa Day to discover Taal. Leave early in the morning for a visit of Taal, a beautiful village that has kept much of its Spanish colonial architecture before haeding to Manila where you will take your flight to Puerta Princesa. Arrive in PP, airport welcome and transfer to the pier to embarkon your diving cruise that will start its journey towards Tubbataha in the evening. Settle in your cabin, welcome briefing and dinner. Night on board.


Day 6 to 10 - 18/04 to 22/04 B-L-D Tubbataha Program for the next 5 days: Diving, diving and more diving!! Unlimited dives within reasonable decompression time limits. A typicla day will start at 6.30AM with a light breakfast, briefing and first dive around 7.15AM, breakfast, 2nd dive around 11.00AM, lunch and rest, 3rd dive around 3.00PM and 4th night dive around 6.00PM. Dinner and night on board.


Day 11 - 23/04 B-D Tubbataha / Puerto Princesa / Coron Get back to Puerto Princesa early morning after breakfast, disembark and go on a visit of the city starting at the rangers centre and the local market. Then head to the airport for a 2.00PM flight to Coron. Welcome at Coron airport and transfer to your hotel. Check in and relax. Night in Coron.


Day 12 and 13 - 24/04 to 25/04 B-L-D Coron Start your diving on the famous shipwrecks. For 2 days you will dive on some fantastic sites with some WWII shipwrecks and some beautiful reefs. Nights in Coron.


Day 14 - 26/04 B Coron Day to discover the regoin with the visit of the famous Barracuda lake, the 7 islands of the Natural Park and the Atuayan and Cyc beaches before heading back to the hotel to get your transfer back to the airport, fly to Manila to connect with your flight home.


Day 15 - 27/04 Arrive home.

Highlights

M / Y Vasco has been a diving cruise yacht in the Philippines since 1998, it is one of the first boats to navigate this route therefore its crew is also one of the most experienced in the Philippines.

M / Y Vasco has a rare and unique history, she was used by Russia for spying missions during the Cold War before being bought out a few years after being decommissioned and transformed into a diving boat.

She also took part in several underwater archeological missions and surveys such as the Esperanza – Panagatan caves in 1999, Hispaniola in 2000, Santa Cruz in 2001. M / Y Vasco cruises around the Tubbataha reefs, the Cagayancillo islands, the Sulu sea, the Apo Reef and Coron all year round.

The boat is 33m long and all the cabins are wood decorated, a warm and pleasant atmosphere with comfortable amenities such as air-con, individual bathrooms and nice living areas.
