The ONA experience is a traditional boat that has been built by and for divers and will take you to discover the the Philipinnes’ hidden gems.

She is based in Coron, one of the most virgin and secluded islands of the area. The island is home to an important fleet of WWII shipwrecks and is a starting point for dives on the second biggest coral reef in the world.

The ONA experience is a great boat and it is also a great team of people passionate about diving who would do their best to make you feel at home.


Malapascua / Oslob*

Day 1 L-D  Transfer from your hotel. Board the cruise, welcome briefing, settle in your cabin during the crossing to Malapascua. First dive in Malapascua, the spots will vary depending on weather conditions. Night dive, dinner and night on board.

Day 2 B-L-D North Malapascua

  • Dive 1 – Marylin a 98m shipwreck in good condition covered in corals with a good macro life and the occasional shark and ray sighting.
  • Dive 2- Gato Island South a slightly sloped area of soft corals and little caves where white tips shars can be spotted, sea snakes and nudibranchs are common in this area.
  • Dive 3 – Gato Island East: exploration of a large cave where white tip sharks can often be seen and of a sloped reef where a great diversity of macro life and pygmy seahorses.
  • Night dive in Gato island

Day 3 B-L-D Around Malapascua

  • Dive 1 – Monad : dive on the atoll early in the morning to look for fox sharks, ray mantas and stingrays.
  • Dive 2 – Chocolate island: a relaxing dive with a diversity of hard corals and macro life, see pygmy seahorses, Spanish dansers and other wonders.
  • Dive 3 – North Rock, North of Malapascua with a beautifully preserved coral reef.
  • Nightfall dive – Light House, look for the mandarin fish.
  • You can then choose to take the optional dinner at the traditional Baboy Lechon restaurant (bbq pig) or at the Malapascua vegetarian grill

Day 4 B-L-D Malapascua to Calangaman

  • Dive 1 - Monade: 2nd day of diving with fox sharks .
  • Dive 2 - Nunez Shoal: A stunning wall dive with pelagics such as sharks, eagle rays as well as lionfish, scorpion fish and rare nudibranchs.
  • Dive 3 – Calangaman island: a picturesque desert island with steep walls where fish life is plentiful, its hard corals and gorgonian fans are home to candy crabs, pygmy seahorses, shrimps and pipefish. Rays, turtles and sharks can also be seen there.
  • Night dive in Calangaman.
  • Optional activities : visit of the Calangaman island and snorkeling in the area.

Day 5 B-L-D  South of the Visayas sea to Camotes.

  • Dive 1 – Tulang Island: A wall entirely covered in corals and sponges with many tropical fishes and nudibranchs.
  • Dive 2 – Tulang Island: Second wall with similar characteristics as the previous one.
  • Dive 3 – Reef Tambuli and Airplaine wreck near Little Mactan.
  • Night dive in Olango and the Talima marine sanctuary.
  • Options: Visit of the Camotes islans laguna and beach, visit of the local market and the Lapu-Lapu King on Mactan Island.

Day 6 B-L-D Mactan to Panglao.

  • Dive 1- Juan shipwreck : deep dive on a 60m wreck.
  • Dive 2 – Cabilao : there are different diving sites to choose from depending on weather conditions. Deep coral walls with shoals of tropical fish, barracudas and pelagics.
  • Dive 3 – Puntod: this reef west of Panglao is a deep wall covered with gorgons. Tunas and mackerels can usually be seen there.
  • Night dive – Bohol Beach Club reef: shallow depth dive near the Alona beach.
  • Optional activities: possibility of snorkeling with dolphins, visit Alona.

Day 7 B-L-D Around Bohol.

  • Dive 1- Sanctuary : early morning dive near Balicasag island, vertical walls with the possibility of meeting grey sharks, manta rays and turtles.
  • Dive 2 – Black Forest: 2 dives near Balicasag island.
  • Nigth dive – Aruco: sloped reef and wall with numerous tropical fish and sea snakes.
  • Optional activities highly recommended: visit the white sand beaches of the Virgin island between the two first dives. A trekking on Bohol after the second dive, meet the Tarsier monkeys (the world’s smallest monkeys), see the famous Chocolate Hills, the Bohol man-made forest, the butterfly zoo and take lunch on the Loboc river.

Day 8 B-L-D Going back to Cebu.

  • Dive 1 – Sumilion Island : little island surrounded by clear waters, vertical walls and coral reefs in pristine condition. Good spot to see big shoals of fish, turtles, barracudas, manta rays and occasionally hammer sharks.
  • Dive 2 – Tan-Awan: shallow dive with whale sharks. Optional activities: trekking to the Oslob waterfalls and visit the city’s old Spanish colonial church.

Day 9  B Oslob. After breakfast, end of the cruise disembark and transfer to Cebu (please ask us if you’d like an extension to your trip)
