The Annapurna is one of the world’s highest mountains, it culminates at 8000m at the heart of the Himalayas.

The region around it is close to Tibet and the landscapes will probably remind this country to the lucky travelers who have had the chance to visit it previously. Furthermore, the local population is mainly from Tibetan origins and culture.

This physically challenging trek will give you the opportunity to discover incredible landscapes and viewpoints over the majestic mountains of the Annapurna.


Day 1 Leave home, fly to Katmandu.

Day 2 Arrive in Katmandu, 1300 metres above sea level. We will greet you at the airport and will take you directly to the hotel where you will be given a first briefing on your journey.

Day 3 After breakfast, leave the hotel at 7.30AM to visit the Hindu temple of Pasubatinah, the Buddhist temple of Baudhna and the monkeys’ temple where from you will be able to see all the city of Katmandu. An English speaking guide will be with you at all time for a total immersion in the local culture. Return to the hotel at the end of the day. Night in Katmandu.

Day 4 Leave Katmandu for Pokhara (850 metres altitude) after breakfast, by plane (25 mins) or by bus (6 h). Arrive at your hotel, check-in and depending on your arrival time use the rest of the day to visit this remarkable city. Night in Pokhara.

Day 5 After breakfast, your team will pick you up to drive you (1h) to the departure point of your trek to Tikhedunga (1540m altitude). A 4 to 5 hours easy trek that will make you discover hospitable villages and beautiful landscapes. Night in Tikhedunga.

Day 6 6 to 7 hours trek from Tikhedunga to Ghorepani (2750m altitude). An ascending trek that will take some energy to complete but will reward you with breathtaking views of the Annapurna and will take you through picturesque villages such as Ullri where members of the Magar caste live and through rhododendron forests where you should be able to observe deers, monkeys and birds. Night in Ghorepani.

Day 7 Early morning rise to reach Poon Hill (3200m altitude) to admire the sun rising on the Annapurna majestic mountains, an unforgettable experience. Get back down to the village for breakfast before leaving for the next stage, Tadapani (2950m altitude). Trek through rhododendron forests with amazing viewpoints on the mountains. Night in Tadapani.

Day 8 5 to 6 hours trek from Tadapani to Chomrong (2170m altitude). Visit Kimrung, a Gurung village, the Gurungs are of Tibeto-Burmese origin and are reknown worldwide for their fighting abilities, they serve as elite soldiers in the Ghurkas as well as in the Indian and British army. Arrive in Chomrong, a pretty village that is also the departure point for the Annapurna base camp and where from it is possible to see the Annapurna the second highest mountain in the Himalaya that culminates at around 8000m. Night in Chomrong.

Day 9 6 to 7 hours trek From Chomrong to Dobhan (2600m altitude). Leave Chomrong and get down to the bridge that crosses the Annapurna glacier river before starting a new ascension towards Sinuwa and Dobhan across bamboo and rhododendron forests. Night in Dobhan.

Day 10 Leave Dobhan for Deurali, 3 to 4 hours trek (3200m altitude). Warning: we recommend that you avoid drinking alcohol the day before as altitude will be challenging for your body at this height. Use the rest of the day to admire the view and to rest. Night in Deurali.

Day 11 Trek from Deurali to the Annapurna base camp (4130m altitude). A slow ascension to the Machapuchare base camp to take the time to get used to the altitude and to take in the stunning view on the mountains. Contemplate the stars at night. Night at the camp.

Day 12 Leave the base camp for Chomrong. Night in Chomrong.

Day 13 Leave Chomrong early to get back to Pokhora, follow the Modi Khola river and cross the lovely villages of Ghinu and Newbridge before reaching the jeep that will drive you back to Pokhora. Night in Pokhora.

Day 14 After breakfast, visit the city of Pokhora, the national museum and the Baudha stupa that rises over the Fewal lake with a beautiful view on the mountains. Night in Pokhara.

Day 15 Get back to Katmandyu by plane or bus. Night in Katmandu.

Day 16 Free day in Katmandu to visit other places or to relax. Farewell dinner and night in Katmandu.

Day 17 Take your flight back home. Day 18 Arrive home.
